- Replacement Brake Rotors

- Dixcel Brake Rotors (turbo)

DIXCEL (http://www.dixcel.co.jp/) do a replacement OEM style brake rotor for the JZX100 (turbo). The following are the corresponding Dixcel part numbers for the rotors in question (Google them to find your most convenient suppliers)

Front: 3113229 (or 311-3229 or 311 3229)

Rear: 3159002 (or 315-9002 or 315 9002)

These brake rotors are available in a number of different brake rotor types. These different brake rotor types are designated by post-fixing the following codes to the end of the above part numbers (i.e. 3112 3229 SD or 315-9002 PD, etc.)

Brake rotor types available from Dixcel, for the JZX100 Chaser Tourer V are as follow:

PD: Dixcel plain rotors are a decent replacement to the OEM rotors. Not designed for track use but offer good stopping power on the road.

SD: Dixcel slotted rotors offer more stopping power over the OEM rotors. Can be used on both the road and track. However, not designed for race use.

FP: Dixcel FCR brake rotors have been designed for super endurance events, where durability under severe conditions is essential for success.

FS: Dixcel FCR slit type brake rotors have been designed for super endurance events, where durability under severe conditions is essential for success.

NOTE: FP & FS (FCR type) rotors are ONLY available for the front and do not have an equivalent rear part number designation.

NOTE: Also, the 311 3229 front part number may come up in searches as being designed for a JZA80 Supra, however, they also fit the JZX100 Tourer V. The reason they show up as JZA80 parts is because they are the same part number as early model (2 pot) Supra brake rotors.

- Dixcel Brake Rotors (NA)

Naturally aspirated JZX100 owners have different spec brake rotors, however, these are only available from Dixcel in PD (Plain Disc) and SD (Slotted Disc) flavours.

Front: 3111028 (or 3111 028 or 3111-028)

Rear: 3159052 (or 3159 052 or 3159-052)

- JZA80 Supra 4 Pot Brake Conversion

Fitting kit available from Greenline

The Supra calipers have a different mounting spacing so these special nuts are required. Available through Greenline (Night pager 80 nut set)

Top 2 are the 2 out of the supra calipers, bottom 2 change the spacing to suit Chaser

JZA80 VS JZA100 offset nuts

Press out the supra nuts and press in the new offset nuts. This is now the exact spacing to suit the Chaser caliper mount.

Backing Plate, couple of different ways to go.

Because you are now fitting a larger rotor the chaser backing plate doesn't cover the rotor,

1) the backing plate can be bent slightly at the outer edges to clear rotor

2) Remove the backing plate completely and leave off ( as l have done for the demo)

3) Use the Supra backing plate, but new holes will need to be drilled in the backing plate as the mounting points are different to Chaser

From here it is just a matter of putting the rotor on, followed by the caliper, pads, retaining pins and shims.

JZA80 calipers & rotors fitted to JZX100

Standard brake hoses will still fit with the supra 4 pots, but l would recommend fitting Stainless Braided Brake hoses at this point to gain full advantage of the Supra upgrade.

- Notes on JZA80 Clearance Issues

To clear the new calipers your wheels will have to be at least 17" and 65mm from the rotor face to the back edge of the spokes on the wheels.
